Texas Beef Young Leaders Program
The Texas Beef Young Leaders Program gives Texas students an opportunity to learn first-hand about the many diverse career opportunities available in today's beef industry.
Beef 706
Beef 706 is a program designed to educate cattle producers about factors impacting safety and quality of beef. This program is held several times a year in conjunction with Texas AgriLife Extension and the meat science departments at major universities throughout Texas. Funded through the beef checkoff, Beef 706 extends information to hundreds of beef producers each year.

TBQP program
The Texas Beef Quality Producer (TBQP) program is the beef quality assurance effort in Texas. Currently in its eighth year, approximately 4,700 beef producers have been trained in the principles of beef quality assurance in one of the regional meetings or through an interactive CD training available through Texas Beef Council.

Dr. Mark Miller, professor of meat sciences at Texas Tech University, explains the USDA beef quality grading system to producers during a recent Beef 706 program.
